How do we help grain originators?
Traditionally, any grain originator has an existing grower base it services over time. Cultivate Solutions breaks through this model by opening the door for grain originators to growers across our network and source exactly what they require when they require it. We can source spot bids among all members based on crop quality and the carbon intensity score. This allows buyers to make a public commitment to improving their environmental footprint by utilizing our proprietary model to access low-carbon certified grain. We focus on empowering buyers to source the grain that consumers are demanding today, attracting higher selling prices in the process.
How do we benefit growers?
A blanket reduction in inputs across an entire operation is difficult if not impossible. However a data-informed crop-by-crop or field-by-field input reduction is possible. Our carbon intensity predictive scoring model allows growers to make better ecological decisions on a field-by-field basis, saving on input costs. Growers can also attract higher bids from grain originators for low-carbon intensity scoring crops, improving the farm’s bottom line. Growers need the right incentives and rewards for supplying what consumers are looking for in the market.
